The Prince Edward Island Entrepreneurship Program is for people who are interested in working and owning a business in the province. Eligible people to establish their own business in this province can get a work visa from the Canadian Immigration Department and if they can fulfill the conditions in the work agreement with the government of Prince Edward Province, they will be able to apply for Canadian residency.

The work visa branch of this province operates as an Expression of Interest or EOI, in which applicants compete with each other based on a scoring system, and those who can get the highest score receive the province’s invitation letter.

Eligible requirements:

Having a minimum capital equal to 600 thousand Canadian dollars in the form of movable and non-movable assets

A minimum investment of 150 thousand Canadian dollars to create a business or buy one of the existing businesses in the province

Having at least a diploma or equivalent

Having managerial work experience or a company ownership experience

Applicant’s age must be between 21 to 59 years

Having a minimum language knowledge equivalent to CLB4

IELTS equivalent of 4.5 in listening skills, 3.5 in reading, and 4 in writing and speaking.

Have the intention to live and work in the province

Active and continuous presence in the province to manage the proposed business
