Iranians who travel to Canada for a short-term stay need a tourist visa; Unless they have a permanent residence permit or have received Canadian citizenship. If your purpose is to visit the attractions of this country or to participate in conferences or conventions, to see friends, relatives and family members or to have business meetings, you must apply for a Canadian tourist visa.
Types of Canadian tourist visas
Canadian tourist visas are divided into the following types:
1-Canada single visa or one-time entry
2-Canada multiple visa or multiple entry
3-And another type known as super visa.
Canada single entry visa
With this type of visa, you are allowed to enter Canada only once in a specified period of time and stay in this country until the end of the validity of your visa. Your visa will become invalid upon departure from Canada, even if it has not expired. Therefore, you must apply for a visa again to enter Canada.
Canada multiple entry visa
This type of visa allows you to travel to Canada indefinitely until the end of the validity of the visa and to stay in this country for up to six months each time you enter Canada. This period of six months can be extended under certain circumstances.
You just need to apply in order to extend your staying period; If your conditions are convincing , your request will be approved. Since the validity period of the Iranian passport is 5 years, this visa is also known as the 5-year Canadian visa.
Of course, it should be noted that the validity period of this visa will be equal to the validity period of your passport, and for example, if your passport is valid for three years, your visa will be issued for three years.
Canadian super visa
Canadian super visa is another type of tourist visa for those whose children or grandchildren are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. The validity period of this visa is ten years, but considering that Iranian passports are valid for five years, this visa is also issued with a five-year validity.
With the Canada Super Visa, you are allowed to stay in this country for up to two consecutive years each time you enter Canada.
To get a super visa, an official invitation from the applicant’s child or grandchild over the age of eighteen is required.
Also, the inviting person must prove that he can afford the expenses of the invitee during the staying period; For this purpose, residence documents and evaluation sheets of the inviter’s financial and tax conditions will be attached to the applicant’s visa application file.
Also, the inviter is required to pay the applicant’s medical insurance for at least one year and Pay at least $100,000 coverage.
The duration of receiving a tourist visa
The duration of the review of tourist files varies according to each country.
If you want to extend your stay period in Canada after issuing a visa and entering Canada, you must make your request 30 days before the expiration of your visa.
Also, after registering the application, if you have not done biometrics before, you must go to one of the Canadian Embassy offices in neighboring countries to do biometrics, and the result received will be valid for up to ten years.
